Sims 4 blind trait mod11/4/2023 ![]() It's still a very powerful trait, in my opinion, but with the addition of malfunctions I feel it's a bit more believable and rewarding to play. I experimented with when the debuffs should trigger, added a total of 7 unique debuffs, and spent time balancing the Trait to be fun, challenging and dynamic, with clear ups and downs. Not only was that way too harsh, it was just too much of a challenge, and not fun at all, which I only realized after prematurely uploading. The first incarnation of this trait included one debuff which had a 30% chance of activating every day, which stopped all skill gain and doubled decay rates. I wanted to throw in some downsides to consider, and to make playing with the Trait more dynamic, interesting and challenging. I wasn't content with just giving flat bonuses to Sims with the trait to reflect robotic efficiency. ![]() Seeing captainkyokyo's Robot and AI Traits, as well as a handful of robotic custom content listed later in this post, inspired me to create my own Trait. But there's already excellent custom content that brings back Servo, and modeling and such is way out of my scope. ![]() I'm a pretty big fan of sci-fi, and miss Plumbots and Servos greatly. This is something I've been working on for a few days, and been thinking about for much longer.
